Visit Colorado’s own history museum and delve into the state’s fascinating past—and present. Explore artifacts and dioramas that feature Colorado’s first inhabitants, mining in the Rocky Mountains, life in early Denver, and more.

 

See the museum’s latest exhibits, such as Ancient Voices: Stories of Colorado’s Distant Past, and Tribal Paths: Colorado’s American Indians: 1500 to Today, which opens in January 2007. Special galleries also feature changing exhibitions on life and culture in the American West. Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 AM-5:30 PM, , Sunday noon-5:30 PM, Mondays closed. Admission: MCA Members free; Adults $5; Students and seniors $3, Children 12 and under free.  MCA offers free admission each first Saturday of every month, multi-disciplinary programs, daily tours.
